I want to do live messenger 2011 software!

Use this for a guide Creating your own WLM 2009 server the easy way :stuck_out_tongue:

yes sometimes i have maked a wlm 2009 server but, if I try to log on to another wlm version with this server it says that the service is currently unavailable :frowning:

Thats because it only works with 2009! :stuck_out_tongue:

And can i have resources for software : wlm images, icons, status icons,

i have custom icons maked for recreating for wlm 2011

I would have to be rooting around in the files for that one, which i dont have 2009 installed soooo!

If you need help hosting a 2009 WLM server, i’ll try to host it for you

ok. but i
i need a wlm 2011 server

I’m not to sure about that one, it probably uses different protocols (maybe)

yes, the wlm 2011 uses msn protocol 25 i’m not sure

that thread is outdated

yeah thats fair

didn’t someone also make an updated thread or something

The software god is typing :flushed:

OK. the visual studio 2010 ultimate ist installed. now i
i need wlm icons, pictures, status icons. and i make a test software
which is not yet able to send a message, just to show what the software will work!

yeah

WLM 2011 uses MSNP21, and there is no MSNP25 (not officially AFAIK). Also Escargot doesn’t support that so there’s nothing to work with really.

Also implementing that or WLM 2009’s protocol, and just developing a program as advanced as a messenger in general is no easy task and like with people hopping onto the Escargot source code for their quick WLM 2009 fix, I highly suggest you don’t bite off more than you than chew. Start out small and simple, and then you can explore more bigger concepts.

I’m sad :frowning:
But anyway! I’m waiting 2 years for wlm 2009 to appear !!! but my favorite versions are wlm 2009-2011-2012! only when they appear ??? i will keep waiting

Slowly but surely making progress. Just last night I found a bug in the new patch component that makes patched MSN clients crash when attempting to log in, though, and figuring out a fix for that on my end hasn’t gotten anywhere. @TReKiE’s offered to help debug the issue however and I’m hoping he gets somewhere with an exact cause. Otherwise we’re on the right path.
