it is one of them yes. if i have to see the fucking chrome logo one more time i swear to fucking god
but the first version of fully flat chrome came out in like 2017 or something and windows 8 and ios 7 came out in 2012 and 2013
the old versions of chrome was still extremely minimalist, especially if you compare with other browsers of the time
the modern chrome logo came out in 2011 and was updated to have no more shading in 2014
2008-2011 at least had a nice 3d metallic logo LOL

you can disable that in the configurations, it’s pretty simple

personalization -> start menu (or just start, if yours appears like that)
or just use a nice modified version of windows 10 which is aesthetically pleasing but not too far from the original
