I can’t log in on MSN Messenger 7.0 Prepatched

Error code/error message:

What has been tried so far:
Uninstalling and reinstalling IE8, reseting the settings of IE

Messenger version:
MSN Messenger 7.0 Spanish (Prepatched)
Windows version:
Microsoft Windows XP SP3 Version 2002

As in the full post on this issue, there are ongoing server issues with XP clients that give you a 1 in 6 chance of connecting, regardless of your settings. In other words, you need to keep trying until you can get in.
