Hello there.
I found out yesterday that MSN Messenger is “Live” again thanks to Escargot so I went ahead restoring my really old WinXP setup in VirtualBox.
It was good, I installed some nostalgic programs but when I installed Escorgat MSN Messenger 7.5 (tried every single version besides 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0) I got the error code 80048821. I tried to fix the error with reading topics here, I disabled SSL 2.0 and 3.0 and enabled TLS 1.0 but nothing happened. By the way, Internet Explorer doesn’t want to work properly, I always got a “The page cannot be displayed.” error when I’m trying to open a website. I have IE 6 installed. But Firefox works fine.
How could I solve that issue?
i ran the troubleshooter and got this:

Looks like you’re gonna have to use an alternate method, like ProxHTTPS (or whatever it’s called) or downgrade to 1.0 through 4.7.
If 4.5-4.7 (escargot’s downloads, NOT the one built in with XP SP3. The reason I say this is because it works simular to 5+, and uses a slightly more messy way of connecting with https and all that) doesn’t install, open the certificiate menu you used to check if 'check root certifites and uncheck Windows Messenger, then try again.
If ProxHTTPS doesn’t work, you might as well upgrade to Vista or 7.
