Why MSN Escargot Server is not compatible with Windows Live Messenger 2010? And it’s that according to the Escargot servers for MSN Messenger, it is only compatible up to WLM 2009, but why not with WLM 2010?
Because WLM 2010 never existed. If you were refering to WLM 11/12, you could try crosstalk as a tester (ask HIDEN!).

Actually, Windows Live Messenger 2010 does exist but it is less known; it is the last version of Windows Live Messenger for Windows XP. I ask the same about WLM 11 or WLM 12 because they are not compatible with the MSN Escargot servers.
“Windows Live Messenger 2010” is an early WIP build of Windows Live Messenger 2011. There is no released product named “Windows Live Messenger 2010”.

Because it doesn’t support the version of the MSNP protocol they use.
