Why are so many people using Windows Live Messenger? I use MSN 5.0 and I haven’t seen anyone using MSN 5.0 on this forum.

because WLM 8.1+ looks pretty cool with vista/7 era, than older ones.

In my case, it’s because I use Windows 11, and WLM 8.5 is the only version that has the aero title bars.

Simply because the newer versions have more features.

Personally I use 7.5 out of spite (and also I prefer MSNP12 to MSNP13+ as a protocol analysist)

5.0 though? Unless the scrollbar crashes have been fixed in newer systems, I’d skip straight from messenger 3 to messenger 6.

for me i use 2009 because it has more features + i just kinda vibe with the aesthetics of 2009 on windows 10 more than i do, say, 8.5 or 7.5 or anything earlier, but i do have an XP VM with 7.5 just because sometimes i wanna text my friends while playing Big Money without needing to get on my main machine

8.5 is goated, nice design, even my friends say 8.5 is the MSN I might use! When I tell them about MSN 8.5 lol
