What's necessary for installing Escargot on Windows XP?

I’ve done some searches on this forum for similar topics, but everything else seems to be dated (by more than one year) and I figured something might’ve changed in what’s necessary to get this program up and running on a machine running Windows XP(?)

I also advise you to stay away from using WLM 8 on XP due to the fact it relies on HTTPS for some core functions outside login like contact list management and the fact that HTTPS on Escargot on XP is still a little wonky, unless you plan to get ProxHTTPSProxy set up too.

i used the proxy and it works fine
