why did microsoft discontinue old versions of skype
because its changing the communication protocol. same happened with msnp18 (msn 2009) and msnp21 (msn 2012)

Bump, because it seems like Skype Revivals have totally changed since the first time it got introduced. Like the fact of having Skype 4, 5 and 6 with no 7, which nowadays it’s the opposite.
