Messenger probably looked at the ClientIP to see if it could resolve itself externally (I think that’s how? it’s been a while.), and if it could, set a field like Conn-Type to Direct-Connect.
MSNPiki doesn’t really describe anything well (Excluding MSNP8, which is mostly copied directly from hypothetic) about the entire collection of protocols Messenger uses, huh? SOAP Examples are pretty bad. Like painfully bad. ABCH response doesn’t seem to be the right format at all? Every client i’ve tried the response from MSNPiki with just rejects it as a “bad contact list” and logs out… Probably have to source it from a debug log from a client of it’s time…

thanks to Declan’s (@yellows111) help, file transfer and profile pictures now work!!! (this was the hardest part of this whole thing and it’s finally functioning correctly)

also webcam works but i think that was obvious because if calls work webcam is most likely to probably work as well

except i only started when the album sucked came out
i didnt become a super fan until like 2017 when she released pop 2 (track 10 best song ever btw) but i was already a “fan” since her boom clap era

i’m pretty sure i’ve fully implemented everything up to MSNP version 11, which means i’ll start working on the newer versions, you can currently log in up to MSN 7.0 using Xirk which is fun tho

For a lone developer, you’re very fast! I’m excited to see newer versions of WLM working, since I feel that work on Escargot was probably halted for NINA. You’ve done an amazing job so far, and I’m very impressed! Keep up the great work!
