Not sure if the download works

it does

Thanks for letting me know

MSN Add-in for WM 4.7, i know that url from anywhere.

That only supplied MSN Chat functionality to Messenger, AFAIK. Why didn’t Microsoft integrate it with MSN in the first place, like with what Yahoo! did with Yahoo! Chat? :stuck_out_tongue:

not just that:

1: chat
2: email notification support
3: message to mobile device
4: some other optional stuff that is useless to the basic im user

Obvious. :stuck_out_tongue:

I always thought that was part of MSN by default. Isn’t it?

For this, I’m not exactly sure if that was part of vanilla MSN or part of the add-in installer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Elaborate, please. :stuck_out_tongue:

This existed because of several reasons: trying to avoid another EU/Windows Media Player ordeal, internal Microsoft drama between the Windows and MSN teams after the Windows/MSN Messenger split, and trying to promote Messenger Add-Ins as a thing.

Which of these that was the trigger depends on who you talk to.

Since I know you’re talking about one of my replies:

Considering MSN’s popularity over in Europe, I’d say a mixture of the first two reasons you bring up. :stuck_out_tongue:
