I am Jacey Howe, the wink collector since August 2025. I discovered these by NMTVE (who has a bunch of winks just like mine), who made a series of showing off random MSN/WLM winks. I looked for anywhere to archive these winks and made it my downloadable collection and then I done it. I eventually translated the filenames of these MCOs because why the heck not.
Also, I’d inform you that the never heard or seen winks of these are shown in the folder itself.
Anyday, I will be planning to upload more winks I have on archive.org for archival purposes. Since there are 6 winks I uploaded and archived, I wanted to say that there is still more of these than the previous ones I already did uploaded. And I’m going to plan on uploading them. Note that this might be a big pile of uploaded winks, but I just had to.

Thanks for working on this. Due to winks only being locally cached through the client, a good chunk of the winks have been completely lost to time.
I’ve had a few of the old winks torrents running for many years with the hope that one day someone starts up an old torrent client and I can grab the files (without much success unfortunately).

That’s right, first update. I recently discovered that there are more winks in franchises and brands themes. But sadly, there are MCT files inside the theme folder which it needs some reconstructing to fixed MCO files that can install properly. Some winks are already done, but some aren’t. I discovered it on Addemoticons and didn’t knew they were existed. So, I have a preview but icons only winks and a website down below. Download them all and fix it.

Well, I’m planning on these 2 stuff pretty soon. Except I only got the rare monkey wink, you can have it here. It looks the same as the image.
Some of the old promotional DLC at the time was available quite easily without much effort, seeing as Chill Island (internally MAG_157167_IMUKCE, usually the UKCE changes per country-C-slot in specific for different regions, so you can find multiples with the same ID but different translation.
Not sure why American Greetings always got prefixed with M in these, but whatever.
The ID is usually the same system the partners themselves would use, so 6 digits for AG/3H and 5 digits for Meegos.)
Most of the others have been archived by various people on their sites should they boast a Messenger Content installer.
These were available on the global advertisement server, but as that seems to no longer exist in any form, some of these Messenger Content files have been lost. Mostly other translations of campaigns, but yeah.
