Flash MX 2004 is inferior to Flash 8. No MovieClip effects.

Actually, Macromedia Studio 8 products register offline, as well, since I remember plugging in a few Macromedia Flash 8 keys, and they registered without fail.
And IIRC, there’s also an Adobe article regarding activation for Macromedia Studio 8 products.
