i saw this a while back, it’s true, afaik u can uninstall and reinstall when u update
Windows 11 version 24H2, the upcoming OS version that comes to the public in the second part of this year, has a list of apps that prevent it from being installed (These apps will prevent Windows 11 version 24H2 from installing on your PC ). If you use one of them, you may be out of luck with upgrading to 24H2 unless you remove the app. Here’s the list.
ConisioAdmin.exe (Solidworks PDM),
EaseUS Disk Copy.exe (EaseUS Disk Copy Application),
ep_dwm.exe (ExplorerPatcher), starting in Windows 11 22H2,
iCloudServices.exe (iCloud files available in Explorer via WhatsApp) starting in Windows 11 23H2,
RadeonSoftware.exe (AMD GPU Performance Settings) starting in Windows 11 23H2,
StartAllBackCfg.exe (StartAllBack) starting in Windows 11 22H2,
Multi-mon + Copilot (Microsoft),
MergeSdb (Microsoft),
Intel IntcOED.sys (Intel),
Intel IntcAudioBus.sys (%WinDir%\System32\drivers\IntcAudioBus.sys),
Realtek 8192su Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter (%WinDir%\System32\drivers\RTL8192su.sys).
As you can see, some of these apps are marked as incompatible with earlier released Windows 11 version, including 22H2 and 23H2. These locks are stored inside the appraiser.sdb file.
