This Halloween, MessengerGeek has once again been taken over by the restless spirits of old messaging services! Although these friendly ghosts mean no harm, they’re drifting across our pages, making the forum (a little) more spooky than usual.
We have eight classic messaging services now haunting the site, and we need brave ghost hunters to help capture them.
Your mission: Track down and capture as many ghosts as you can.
Your reward: Snag 1,000 ghosts and you’ll unlock the exclusive Ghost Hunter badge, plus a few secret goodies for the most dedicated hunters.
How to Catch the Ghosts:
- Select the Ghost icon at the top of the page.
- Click, tap, or hover over the ghostly apparitions to capture them.
- Beware! These messaging ghosts are quite sociable and will call their friends the more you catch.
Hints
- The more ghosts you capture, the more unique ghosts you’ll find.
- There are
seveneight legendary former messaging services represented. Can you name them all? - For easier capture, since ghosts can appear anywhere on a page, force the ghosts into a smaller (less scrollable) space
- If you hunted ghosts last year, your total carries over for a cumulative score. To earn this year’s badge, you’ll need to capture 1,000 new ghosts
