Making a web browser

all youtube videos use html5 now whether or not it was made in flash. Also, duh cuz its ie 6. but ie 7 and 8 can’t either.

IE6 doesn’t support HTML5 videos

I would say pretty much every Windows hobbyist developer will end up building a browser shell project, it’s normal.

My original browser shell eventually turned into the primary customer support tool where I worked at the time, and I kept building those skills into my RSS reader that I still use daily that uses IE to render web pages.

Although, it’s a bit of a shame it’s almost for nothing now since IE is nearly end of its usefulness, and the modern equivalents expect javascript to modify web pages and other fanciness, so you have to rewrite everything.
