It seems iWarg is working on an AOL revival

but that’s not a even an aol client, it’s some visual basic bullshit.

AOLEmu is an recreation of the original AOL Client, This and that are two very different things.

When it comes to recreating the forms, I assume that since all functionality like form pop-ups, error handling, etc., is sent with the form data, it’d be more work than expected. It probably wouldn’t be worth it.

I feel like this is going like this in a few years from now. Wildman’s servers aren’t well coded imo.

I have a backlog of most of the forms and I’ll be starting on an AOL service, for AOL 2.5 to 4.0. The only thing I am missing is the libraries to generate ART files, but they can be done manually so if I have to fall back on that I will. It will be launched probably late summer.

If you mean the database files for the ART i’ve got a couple of those. If so, let me know and I’ll send em.

I am referring to the libraries to actually convert files to ART files, but I will take anything anyone will give me. All data helps.

I don’t see how that can possibly be the case since I’m not smiling.

Turns out if you edit a CCL file called Tcp in AOL 3 or 2.5, it has success.
Here is the edited code for connect sequence:

-LABEL 0
Revision 1
DsplyMsg Step 1: Initializing TCP/IP …
CanBtn 2 { if cancel button - just exit }
DsplyPic 1
NetConnect 1 5179 10 iwarg.ddns.net
Pause 100
NetError 3 4

The server isn’t ready, mate.

Ah, okay. In that case, never mind.

Just tested it again, and it just stays at the last step.

And goodbye? Yeah, I know that.
Just wait the server to be ready.
