It seems iWarg is working on an AOL revival

we’ve been using AOL 4.0

W e l l t h e n, can i have that link.

this was the first result on google

alright i’mma download it.

Wait How was he able to change the server settings?

shit nvm, i figured it out.

So since we know AOL 5 uses internet explorer 5, can we somehow upgrade that version like Trekie did with the msn msngr registry patch?

The website is offline currently, Are they making changes?

It could’ve been something else, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

If I had to guess, it might’ve been yet another server fault.

On the FAQ page, this shows:
connect_error(): status not set on port 5179

interesting. i’ll try experimenting with that in mind when the server comes back up

That doesn’t seem to work.

Matter of fact I don’t even think that status not set on port 5179 was meant for connecting to the AOL server, but hey that’s just my guess.

the beta server is offline right now. i would assume that’s what it’s running on

it completed the signing in process with AOL 8.0 but then disconnected me with this menu image
Now seeing it says “America Online wasn’t able to connect” i think i am just acting stupid.
Heres what the loading looks like.

yeah it does that

nah i won’t wait, i’ll just keep speculating about it until it’s finally released.

he just changed the site

the AIM page or AOL page?

AOL. he changed the main page site and the FAQ page says "connected: listening for incoming clients on port 5179. "
