I think I managed to get the msn-pecan plugin for Pidgin working

I think I managed to get the msn-pecan plugin for Pidgin working with Escargot after several modifications… I need someone to confirm this.
the WLM Plugin says I am online, but I need someone to verify this works.

What file did you modify?

I had to change a whole bunch of stuff. Across 14 files.
I created a github of the module if you are interested in compiling it. I did compile an RPM as well

There’s an odd msnia.m1.escargot.log1p.xyz URL for what I assume would be for login. That should just be m1.escargot.log1p.xyz. There’s also an unchanged nexus.passport.com in nexus.c that should also be the m1 domain, and the GET /rdr/pprdr.asp thing should be changed to GET /nexus-mock. Other than that, you’re right on track.

What do you know. Someone else already forked msn-pecan to connect to Escargot, and it’s more complete. :stuck_out_tongue:

Did a pull Request.

To me that just looks like merging in their changes into your repo which isn’t doing much else. Unless you have other stuff planned for your fork?

That’s all I have time for right now.

.rpm

How about other distros such as Arch or Debian, also what distro are you using

Mageia, but as long as the version is current, it shouldn’t matter. It should be easy enough to build.

Doesnt like to build in Cygwin, might try WSL in a bit

I have been tol that both Binaries for Linux, and Windows Function.

I couldnt seem to dig the binaries up or id have done that
