I Need Help

Hello friends. I have not been able to solve a computer’s internet problem for the last 2 days, that is, every time I try to connect the Internet to my computer, the DNS server not responding, error is showing. I am currently using the internet from my mobile phone. This is why I’m having so much trouble using my computer. Guys, I don’t know why this is happening and how to fix this issue. Please help me to solve the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

As a starting point, see if you can get to these sites:

  • http://104.215.148.63. It’s a random Microsoft web URL and you should end up with a fancy blue-text on white “Not found” page.
  • https://1.1.1.1. Cloudflare’s public DNS page.

If both of these work, then your assessment of DNS not working seems correct. If one or both of them don’t work, then there might be other problems other than DNS.

Without knowing any of the networking details, it’s difficult to be more specific, but assuming you’re using a standard router/modem, if you haven’t already, power cycling it might do the trick.

Another workaround you can do is look up how to set your own DNS server in whatever operating system you’re using, and set it to either 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (Google).

1.1.1.1 might be slightly faster than google’s dns but it depends on location that you’re at.

Thanks for replying. First of all, I used 7.6.8.6, and 7.6.4.4 2. Fortunately, I was able to solve my internet problem from here. I just applied a process mentioned there. I just followed the following commands.

ipconfig / flushdns

ipconfig / registerdns

ipconfig / release

ipconfig / renew
