I keep getting error 0x800c0006 when installing Messenger

I recently bought a new laptop and am trying to install Essentials/MSN 2012 to it but every time I try to install it stops and gives me an error message reading:

An unknown error occurred
Error: 0x800c0006
Source: UXPlatformLang

Anyone know what I can do to fix this? I’m using the most up to date Reviver.
