I almost connected escargot to WLM 2009! He already sees my escargot account, but I still can not log in.

Its not possible. 2009 uses msnp19

Any version below 8.5 doesnt work due to data extention and other feature implementation stuff, also most 2009 server info is gone, so we would need reverse engineering
