You can download a client from here (either the untouched, original installers or a pre-patched installer): https://crosstalk.im/downloads/msn
You most likely need to update your root certificates. Legacy Update’s installer will handle that for you.

Nevermind i like escargot better
Why is that?
CrossTalk can do pretty much anything Escargot can, and more, including (but not limited to) W.I.P. WLM 2011+ support (which will be in a daily drivable state in the next update, though we still haven’t figured out non-destructive patches), Yahoo! Messenger 7.5/8.x support (and 4.1/9.0 is also coming in the next update), and more consistent updates (Escargot is in an effectively unmaintained state as their primary, and really only MSN developer has left as a result of everything coming out). And MySpaceIM, Skype (in the more distant future), and more. They do have better AIM/ICQ client support, but we intend to catch up fast.
And not to mention all of them can interoperate, you can use the same account on any of these clients and talk to anyone using any client, no matter what you’re currently using. Can’t do that on Escargot, try messaging someone on MSN from AIM 
Not to mention the fact we aren’t involved in ponzi schemes, don’t take money from verrryyyy questionable people (hell we don’t take any money at all), nor do we gouge out our userbase (or our developers!) for money as we care more about preservation and providing a good service than profits and media attention, we don’t paywall any functionality, it’s 100% free forever, we aren’t being hostile to our competition (other than Escargot but I tend to not support services involved in financial crimes), we don’t use stolen, confidential source code, don’t intentionally violate the GDPR… list goes on and on

Hello so im trying to patch windows live messenger 2012 but it says password incorrect while my password is correct. ik its not developed fully but it says partial support so im guessing that includes logging in atleast? just wanna try it out please help if you can thanks1!
Incorrect, There is absolutely a lot of stuff wrong with Escargot 100%, Specifically the moderation and donators/contributors team (wherever you put it to it), They are a bunch of fucking losers who attempted to raid and flood a Skype revival with CSAM, and who else knows what deplorable shit they did as well, As of now; I highly discourage you stay away from Escargot and sign up through Crosstalk instead.

according to the doc you cite, only ONE team member (pavlosik) was responsible for this, and he paid his way into the mod team
based on the tone of both the doc and response, it seems like absolutely none of the rest of the team had any idea he had done this
Even when he’s not part of Escargot team (I think, but from how the team responded, he was probably fired), pavlosik STILL does shit like this.
Really, I think the issue you should be having with escargot is that they let him pay his way into the mod team to begin with.

Paying your way into a mod team and doing shit like that is really bogus coming from someone who tried to use Escargot before I found out what was going on behind the scenes, I don’t really look forward to WLM revival services because of the egregious people I see when coming ‘cross those type of stuff like that.
