How do i activate windows vista if the product key was lost?

So the xp machine i told you about , I tried to update it to vista but when i recieved the disk, there was no product key, i can’t activate through phone because the UK activation number seems to be dead. unlike windows 7, there doesn’t seem to be much results on how to activate without a product key, except for slmgr -rearm which only resets the trial period 3 times.

i know of a activator for windows 7 that has never failed yet. good idea

Windows 7 is Vista, except with a different taskbar and a dumbed down explorer.
