Hello, in this topic, I will be talking about an old MMO game that still exist, but unfortunately it is no longer playable. You can still download their client and explore their old UI, the MMO or 3D World Chat game is called Moove, this game is mistery now a days because there is a single demonstration video on YouTube talking about this game and features that you can do in the game, you can do voice chat or use your camera in the game. This old game was made to “flirt” with poeple and have a relationship and create your own home in that old MMO game which is at the end it is a roleplay game that is created in the late 90s, it goes all the way back to the year 1998. you can go and check this old website by yourself. This is the Moove website for more information. http://www.moove.com/.
This is the demo video that is in their website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NJgQPXB-GM
Ah yes, I forgot about this one!
The modern VR concepts of this really aren’t practically that much different either.
I’ve always thought ActiveWorlds was superior to most (and still maintained, 29 years later).
Indeed, ActiveWorlds still receives updates to this day with some fixes, patches, and so on. However, Moove has not received an update since 2012, and while the website still exists, it has not been considered lost media.
TreKiE, have you ever played this old 3D world chat game before?
I distinctly remember the website. I mean, you don’t really forget a face like this:
For actually playing, I’m not sure. But if so, probably only once to try. The big reason I preferred AW to most of these (V-Chat, etc.) is because you can do more than socialize with that they give you, there’s an entire framework/scripting language and easy tools to build whatever you want.
Yes indeed, Worlds.com is also a truly remarkable virtual world game that has gained significant fame due to the involvement of the iconic musician David Bowie. His inclusion in the game, along with the merchandise he offered to his fans, has undoubtedly contributed to its popularity.
