Guys, talk about the problem only in this thread.

you sure it’s Messenger 5?
sounds like a messenger 8 issuse with adding contacts

(oh and Messenger 4 (and possibly 5) disconnects automatically, but doesn’t kick you to the login window, you have to change your status to do that)

His problem is that certain users appear online in MSN Messenger 5, but they appear offline in newer versions.

possibly just disconnected because of client inactivity.
