Cryptic error after patch

Hello!

I just patched Windows Messenger 4.7.3001 on Windows XP Professional SP3 using the method on the Escargot site with the Stud_PE program. As far as I know, I’ve done everything correctly, but maybe there was something I missed. Every time I try to run the application after the patch, I instantly get this cryptic error message.

Can anyone tell me what it means or how to fix it? I’ve also attached an image of my INI file.

Maybe an unknown reason for it to happen

But the solution is to update Windows XP using Legacy Update (or probably install an unofficial SP4) into your windows XP machine

EDIT: sorry I haven’t noticed that the error was smth else

I actually was able to figure it out; 4.7 just works the same way that 4.6 does. You must just run the patcher and that’s it. I replaced the modified executable with a copy of the unmodified one and removed the INI and escargot.dll files and was able not only to open the program but also sign in to my account no problem.
