After a year in development, CrossTalk 0.6 is finally releasing later today! The full changelog will be published on the website once everything is said and done.
The updated build of reroute will also be published later.
Because of The Economy©™, I’m going to have to switch back to the old *.xyz service domains. The .gay domains expire on the 7th and cost about $60 each to renew, $120 total, money is super tight right now and I don’t have $120 to spare. The .xyz domains don’t expire until next year and are also signifiicantly cheaper to renew, about $15 each, and switching to .gay has not helped with false detections, which was the entire reason for the switch in the first place.
The prepatched installers still use .xyz so if you’re using those, then you don’t need to do anything (but you absolutely should update your build of reroute anyway, to enable future new features) but if you have custom configs/custom clients pointed to .gay, manually patched since the switchover, or use the Messenger Plus sounds server patch, then they’ll need to be updated or they’ll stop working.
I’m working on a patcher program to automate the process for you, which also automatically applies the best configuration for your client (so the esent.dll fix for 2009 on 24H2+ enabling reroute IDCRL for 2011/2012 etc), however it’s not yet complete.
There will also be extended downtime as much of our server infrastructure needs to be overhauled. It shouldn’t last all day but expect it to last in the ballpark of a few hours.
