Indeed. I’m looking forward to their post-mortem, they do a better job than most at detailing what happened to cause their outages.
I’m not against CF at all, but a lot of their services (like the other major cloud providers) are frequently promoted as the solution to all problems without any information of the ramifications of doing so.
I also don’t think it’s very healthy to have major parts of the internet, that we depend on, to go through a single provider.
Yes, just because it’s secure, doesn’t means that absolutely everyone should use it, a single outage will be enough to make tons of people angry because they won’t be able to access essential websites.
