First of all, I was very happy to see those who miss windows live messenger like me. I cannot video chat in windows live messenger. Is this a normal situation? Do I have a chance to solve this? I don’t know anything about these issues, I would appreciate it if someone could help me.

Hey @Tayco Very annoying that you can’t video talk with your friends
there are things that you can do to resolve this you and your friend can open a port on your router
the port would be 5004
both it be tcp and udp
make sure you and your friend do that.
if you are on the same network.(LocalHost) then you also need to forward it then you can talk to each other.
To be clear i’m not quiet sure or it works On Windows Live 2009
but it should work on 8.5 or older.
