Can I install Windows 2000 professional into a new laptop with 4 GB ram?

explain people with 6th gen intel processors and GTX9XX cards running 2000

You can, as long as you can find drivers for it.

I mean… you can try if you try to find drivers for it, But as for the processor, I can’t see it running on a newer architecture because:

  1. It’s too new
  2. I understand that server version (Made for workstations) of Windows 2000 were made for the Itanium (“i” for short) line of processors, But the OS is better suited for CPUs of its time. (Example: Pentium 4 or Core 2 Duo/Quad)

Since it was killed off in 2010, It’s possible that the earlier iterations of the “Core Itanium” series are supported by 2000

Correct me if i’m wrong, but If this helped you a bit with your problem, I’m glad that it was at your service.

EDIT: Forgot to ask, but what Generation of Core i3 is it and what are the graphics in the Laptop?
