Registration and use of AIM is now free to use on NINA for anyone and everyone, just follow the instructions here:

If you’ve already got Escargot, you can login with the same username and password you use for MSN, but do not include @escargot.chat.
We’ve got 349 users on right now, the party has already started.
We support all versions of AIM from 1.0 to 7.5, as well as the Chromium and web based 8.0+ versions. We also fully support TOC, TOC2, and most of the WebAPI/WIM protocol with full support soon.
We also have the original mobile apps for Android and iOS working as well, but they require some extra steps (sideloading, etc) to work on more modern devices. You can learn more about that on our Discord, in the #service-files channel via a pinned message – we’ll have it on the site with instructions in the future.
If you’re curious about inter-op between MSN and AIM/ICQ/AOL, it will be coming with in the near future with WLM 2011/2012 support as well.
Personal thanks to @TReKiE for his very long running board and his dedication to it, and most of all for helping bring so many retro-chatters together, I’m happy to see it’s still active.
