Um I didn’t what to 2 separate post so here’s just one post about the questions I have on aim , Frist I heard Nina had a way to get aim on a older iPhone , but o think Nina is going through something right now , so is it still possible? And second are there any AOL revivals? Ik escargot but that’s it
(This is bc I lowkey gave up on messaging services after 2024)
there is a alternative called ChivaNet. they support aim 1.x-7.x and icq 2000b (they use open oscar server. its a way to make your own oscar server)and even have DIAL-UP support. and have there own mail server. so i reccommend using ChivaNet.and nina is still alive. just contoversy
CrossTalk plans on AIM support in the near future (I believe with the implementation of 0.6) - I haven’t done much research into ChivaNet, but they seem like the best option right now. Both Phoenix and NINA have their faults (really bad security in past times and EXTREMELY poor management bordering on fraud respectively) that make me wary of recommending them.
Can confirm on CrossTalk’s end. AIM support is coming with 0.6 and it seems to be coming along really well from what I can tell
I’ll let you guys be the judge of that ![]()
