I did use WLM with Escargot earlier. Do I need to reinstall the Crosstalk version only or is it better to remove and do a clean install? Do I need to do another Windows “tricks” like registry, etc.? I have also installed the Windows 11 patch for 24H2 and later. Does it have a Crosstalk version? I assume I need to install it over the current one, right?

You’ll need to uninstall the Escargot copy first, then install CrossTalk’s copy (both Messenger.msi and Contacts.msi).
If you get a “Same version of package is already installed” or “Newer version of package is already installed” error (i.e. if Escargot’s Contacts didn’t get uninstalled), then you can just run this: msiexec.exe /x {3175E049-F9A9-4A3D-8F19-AC9FB04514D1} (This will uninstall your existing copy of Contacts/Windows Live Communcations Platform), then you should be able to install the CrossTalk copy after.
You still need a patch to be able to login on Windows 11 24H2 and later, though we have made our own tool for this. You can get it here: https://storage.ugnet.gay/crosstalk-dist/client/extras/msn/tools/24H2Fixer.exe
