Cool! In the forum I see that most people like Vista very much. Would it have any special reason? I used Vista very little at the time and the most time I spent with it was with beta 2.
In my opinion, it sucked A LOT
In fact, it was a poorly optimized system that required a lot of hardware at its release date. But I have no opinion after this, because I did not use Vista with service packs released later.
I did and never felt comfortable with it
it’s service packs fixed most if not all performance and stability issues, Vista is very stable now
it’s a fact but you have to consider, why?
Becuse ppl with your XP pc with 512MB of RAM upgraded too fast to vista and that’s why.
Hardware wasn’t ready for Vista also. In 2007 many had only p4 and althon 64s core2duo just released and was hell expensive
This, i’ve never got any BSOD on vista, it’s beautiful after installing the gpu drivers, keep in mind that my main pc was build in 2012, which is likely the last year that PCs really supported vista.
Good to know it became usable. When I can I will test Vista fully updated on a real machine.
512MB? People here still used 256 MB! lol
The PCs came from stores with 512MB and Vista. People came to me for formatting and installing XP, practically most of them.
Yes! lol Stores here sold PCs with 512MB and Vista Basic, yet the system was incredibly slow.
was it in a poor area? i’m not sure since i know poor areas had vista starter (basiclly vista basic but with a shitty restriction of 3 windows open)
Here is Brazil. lol They sold Vista in Starter and Basic versions on computers.
oh, i’m sure it was cheaper in brazil to repourpuse low-end xp computers to shitty-end vista computers.
you really should do that, Vista is honestly a amazing OS
to be fair he did test beta 2 when it was still a new thing
yea
Oh, I see that you are using XP-IE
