Greetings. I’m looking for help because I would like to reinstall messenger 2009, it’s seems to be impossible. My husband and I used it for years because of the custom background it provided, and we’re looking for an alternative. Thanks for reading and for your work !
Live Messenger 2009 no longer has any servers to connect to, only Messenger 2012 works right now.
Unfortunately 2012 did away with the custom backgrounds, although you can use Messenger Plus’ Easy Skin Creator to create your own skin with a conversation window background (it’s global though, not per contact like Messenger).
