How to patch escargot?:

I need to know how to patch escargot. Mostly I use escargot autopatcher and whenever I goto how to patch, it says edit msnmsgr.exe How do I edit the .exe file?

I tried using Notepad++ So far and idk what to do now, so can someone help me, thanks.:
