if you are on 8.5, go to the contacts tab, you should see a button called “Save instant messaging contacts” save where you want it to go, after that on the new account, go back to the contacts tab and press “import instant messaging contacts” and select the contact file, if it worked woohoo! You have all your contacts back, I hope this helped!
