CrossTalk - A multi-protocol chat server. MSN, Yahoo!, and more!

WLM 2011 is in beta stage right now because our (temporary) patching solution can break Microsoft account authentication on newer versions of Windows.

If you use Discord, you can join there and get our Testers role (.subscribe Testers in the bot commands channel) - there will then be a guide in our #testing channel.

Hey, uhh, about the MSNP24 in development thing, is the MSNP24 support done?

I’ll be so glad because i wanted to use Skype for a long time, and you will say the support for MSNP24 is done!

Skype progress has slowed due to burnout and personal events affecting our main reverse engineer for the project.

Our current focus is OSCAR (AIM) as well as getting MSNP21 support (WLM 2011/2012) into a “daily drivable” state.

The next 0.6 developer preview is coming along nicely and will be released to the repo within the next few weeks. It will include the following:

  • More fleshed out Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 support, fixing the issue of logging out after 2 minutes of no activity
  • Implemented avatars in Yahoo! Messenger
  • Many fixes for Yahoo! Messenger (contacts management bugs like users appearing as pending even after they accepted your request, etc)
  • Many fixes for AIM (the alerts service error message, other random bugs etc) getting it ready for public release
  • Reworked INS a bit with a focus on improving it’s security, more details will be published with the commit
  • Setting status messages and contact management in WLM 2011/2012
  • If I have enough time, maybe P2P interop (at least MSNObject stuff like display pictures/scenes) for 2011/2012 and older versions.
