Any way to install drivers on windows 7 that won't boot?

i swapped a hard drive from a dell computer to a gateway computer but now it won’t boot. i suspect it’s hard disk controller drivers but it comes in an exe file. i have a dual boot of ubuntu 16.04 on it but wine can’t run the driver installer
