Hi, can someone tell me how to install msn messenger on Windows Xp sp2 ? i tried but i always get error when i loggin… Like if the patched version was not on the escargot server… i chek out certificate update and all is ok.,. :S Thanks !

And now i can’t open msn anymore it give me this error cannot find modul : UNICOWS.DLL

ok now i put msn compatibility to windows 2000 ans it open but wont to connect me … always recieve error it say my email doen’t, exist or bad password… 
i dont know what is the prob on this pc … why i cannot install msn on this one ?
is it because i have already an old version of mesenger installed ( version that automaticly installed with win xp )
i tried with ALL msn patched versions and no one works
Unicows.dll is a DLL for Windows 9x or Me… I have no solution regarding this issue. Are you sure you installed 7.5 downloaded from the Escargot website?
Regarding the login problem, it’s probably a problem with the SSL certificates. Because your computer can’t connect to the Escargot server. Try to install this: http://wink.messengergeek.com/uploads/default/original/1X/c1cd14f990b7ea4e4ad9d304ec91cae24604373b.zip
And reboot your computer.

I tried to install it but doesn’t fix the problem…:S
J’ai essayé d’installer le logiciel sur le lien que vs m’avez envoyé mais ca n’a pas corrigé le probleme Ca ne fonctionne toujours pas.
C’est possible que Messenger avec Escargot ne marche pas avec le SP2. Que donne l’outils Escargot Troubleshooter après l’installation du fichier ? Peux-tu reposter une copie du log ?

Ouais, ben ton SP2 ne veut pas se connecter au serveur d’Escargot. Cela peut être du à la configuration du serveur qui n’est pas compatible avec le SP2. Il faudrait que tu mettes à jour vers le SP3 car là, des autres personnes ont réussi à le faire marcher.

Ok et ya-t-il des risques si j’installe le sp3 ? Comme l’incompatibilité de certains de mes drivers ? :S comme le son les graphiques etc ?

Ok merci bcp pour ton soutien Je vais essayer de l’installer de toute facon je pense qu’il sera possible de faire une restauration si ca ne fonctionne pas bien apres… J’suis entrain de telecharger le sp3 en ce moment meme ! Je te tient au courant

De rien. Je me doutais que cela avait à voir avec le SP3. En plus, il vaut mieux avoir un XP à jour de nos jours !
For English readers: problem solved! If you want Messenger with Escargot to work with XP, you need at least the SP3!
