What I meant were the script tags ("<script>alert(1)</script>") next to “MSN.”

Were you trying to print out the <script> tag?

Use the “&lt;” and “&gt;” escape characters to successfully print out a script tag without actually executing JavaScript.

&lt; = “<”
&gt; = “>”
